What counts as a duplicate
By default, two lines are duplicates when they match once case and surrounding whitespace are ignored — “Small Kitchen Storage” and “small kitchen storage ” are the same keyword typed twice. Choose exact matching when case carries meaning, for example a list of product SKUs where sku-01 and SKU-01 are different items.
Why the order is preserved
A deduplicator that sorts as it cleans destroys the one thing your list was carrying: priority. The first line is usually the strongest keyword or the best-selling product, and it needs to stay first. This tool keeps the first occurrence of each line and its position, and drops only the later copies.
What it will not do
There is no fuzzy matching. “pin ideas” and “pin idea” stay as two lines, as do “storage” and “storage ideas”. That is deliberate: a tool that guesses which near-duplicates are the same will eventually delete something you wanted. Read the removed list at the bottom and delete the near-duplicates yourself.
