The sizes that matter

Pinterest recommends 1000×1500 for standard pins (2:3), 1080×1920 for Idea Pins (9:16) and 1000×1333 for 3:4 placements. Anything under 1000px wide will look soft on high-density screens.

Why ratio beats exact pixels

Pinterest crops to fit. A 1200×1200 square will be cropped hard to 2:3, losing a third of the image. Matching the ratio first means nothing important gets cut.

File weight, not just pixels

A correctly sized PNG can still be 4 MB. Check both: dimensions for sharpness, weight for load time.

How to use Image Size Checker

  1. Drop an image.
  2. Read the dimensions and ratio.
  3. Resize if the verdict says so.
