Image Compressor
Some upload forms cap file size, and Pinterest loads faster with lighter images. Compress a pin to a target weight with a live preview of the quality cost.

What compression actually costs
JPEG quality 80 is usually indistinguishable from 95 at pin size while being a third of the weight. Below 60, text edges start to smear — which matters because pin text is small and high-contrast.
PNG versus JPEG versus WebP
PNG keeps sharp edges but is heavy. JPEG is best for photographs. WebP is smaller than both at similar quality and is supported everywhere Pinterest and modern browsers need.
Why size matters beyond upload limits
A 3 MB pin takes noticeably longer to appear in the studio preview and to upload. Under 400 KB is a good target for a 1000×1500 pin.
How to use Image Compressor
- Drop a pin export.
- Move the quality slider.
- Download the compressed file.
