What is a content pillar?
A pillar is a repeatable theme you can publish under indefinitely. For a coffee account: gear, technique, recipes and troubleshooting. Every pin you make belongs to one pillar, which keeps the feed coherent without repeating yourself.
Why four is the right number
Two pillars get repetitive, six become hard to fill. Four gives you variety in the feed while staying narrow enough to be remembered for something.
Rotating pillars across a month
Publish pillar one in week one, pillar two in week two, and so on. If a pillar consistently underperforms, replace it rather than forcing it.
How to use Content Pillar Planner
- Enter your niche.
- Read the four pillars.
- Pick one sub-topic per week to publish.
Content Pillar Planner FAQ
How many sub-topics per pillar?
Four to six. Enough for a month, small enough to stay focused.
Should pillars change seasonally?
One can. Keep three stable and rotate the fourth around the calendar.
Does this replace a content calendar?
No — the pillar planner decides what, the calendar decides when.
